''A few weeks ago, Jeff, a volunteer from the UK, arrived in our town with a vehicle filled with aid. After swiftly distributing the packages, we found ourselves pondering what to do with the truck.
Coincidentally, I had recently spoken to Serhij Chaus, the mayor of Chasiv Yar, who desperately needed transportation for his community due to their vehicles breaking down. Over the past year, Serhij and I, along with everyone at Ukrainian Patriot, had built a strong bond, supporting each other through thick and thin.
When I contacted Stefan from the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre about the surplus vehicle, he entrusted me with deciding where it should go. After some mechanical repairs, I set off on a journey to Chasiv Yar, encountering kind strangers who helped with tire issues along the way.
Upon reaching Kramatorsk, I handed over the vehicle to Serhij, who wasted no time putting it to good use. This experience underscored the power of collaboration and the significance of community in fostering a safer and more supported environment in Ukraine.
I extend my gratitude to all who contributed to this effort, showcasing the incredible results that can emerge when people unite.''
